After You; just amazing

Maybe the last recording we will hear from Pulp for at least a long time. and it is just amazing. produced by  LCD Soundsystems James Murphy. its popy and classic pulp. written back in 2001 and recorded in november. just shows Pulp have still got it. Pulp have always been a bit underrated compared with other nostalgic acts such as Blur. but this songs just shows how good they still are. one of the best tunes of 2012

Peter Bjorn & John

Peter björn och John spelade på lilla baren på riche i torsdags. Massa människor trängdes framför den ytterst lilla scenen och allt var jättebra. Detta var deras andra spelning för året och dem spelade bara fem eller sex låtar utan att spela Young folks vilket jag tycker är bra för dem blir alltid associerade till den låten. Mycket bra intim spelning!

The streets

Mycket rapp nuförtiden, lyssnar på fransk rap hemma och på ipoden Plan b men vad jag tänkte säga med detta är att vi inte ska glömma bort klassikern "A grand doesn't come for free" med The streets. Fäller sorgetårar att jag inte fick se honom innan han slutade med karriären fast nu har ju boken kommit så det är lite tröst iallafall. Så, lyssna på historian på albumet från början till slut.

Fit but you know it, rolig titel, rolig musikvideo. 

Plan B

Det enda jag har lyssnat den senaste veckan är det relativt nya albumet, Ill Manors med Plan B. Albumet som är ett soundtrack för filmen med samma namn, är regisserad av personen bakom Plan B, Ben Drew.

Filmen rekommenderar jag verkligen, kanske lite kassa skådespelare, men de alla nybörjare så det är lugnt. Filmningen är nice och musiken ännu bättre. Min favvo på albumet, Iam the Narrator, är också inledningen för filmen.

Så tummen upp för filmen och definitivt albumet
Ben Drew har alltså haft ett väldigt bra år!

Brilliant Bookers

Hultsfred Festival in Hultsfred Sweden once again have started to announce brilliant bands. Last year some of the best where there, The Cure, Stone Roses, Noel G, (Slash), The XX you get the drift. their good at getting bands. So far for 2013 Arctic Monkeys, Flaming Lips ^ and Band Of Horse's are on the bill, and i have no doubt there will be so many more brilliant acts being booked

Australia's year

As mentioned before on 90-Talister we are loving Tame Impala and that summer sound witch is coming from Austrilia. Tame Impala side projects being just as good as them selves. Pond photoed above are just brilliant and the album is class. NME has confirmed it with Tame Impala being there album of the year, so its agreed its Australia's year

The Greatest

Jay Z vs Beatles. The best of the best mashed together by the greatest Danger Mouse in 2004 and ever since its been impossible to get. Danger Mouse was sued and the recorded disappeared, near impossible to get. I found it a couple of years back and its pure class. Its back up here for free, get it whilst you can!

Palma Violets the best new thing

They have been around a little while and their song Best Of Friends is for sure a hit and after a storming performance on Jools holland last night they do look like something to actually care about. As well as this they are joining the NME tour in feb. Witch is famous for breaking new bands, the likes of the Arctic Monkeys, The Vaccines, Florence and The Machine did the circuit before fame. Signing to rough Trade and an album in Feb. It looks like the same hype as the Vaccines had last year lets see if Violets can ride the hype as well as vaccines did.

Drowners; the new NYC hipster's

Its a lo fi video with alexa chung in new york city. Its cliche but pretty good. You can hear him trying to be Morrisey, nothing bad with that though. Matthew Hitt the singer seems to have it down in NYC after coming from Wales. They have supported The Vaccines and seem to be new in town. But good song, i wanna hear more Drowners

Blur Are Back

So they have announced another festival slot in Poland. Live album and DVD. You can feel them coming back, it's never gonna be the same as the 90's but they will be back. Theres no doubt they will be playing some english festival, my moneys on Reading and Leeds and maybe V Festival. But im happy there back, i saw them in hyde park at the olympics, they know how to play a big show. Lets hope they carry on and maybe a album ?

Stone Roses still blooming

Its coming round to festival headliners being announced. There back for another year. Which i think is just great, from what i saw of them last year, all three times they just got better and better. So 2013 should in theory 2012 should be brill. There doing Isle of Weight festival which is just classic. They will be doing there own shows in London Glasgow Dubai Senyan and there adding all sorts. The cash cow is not over yet, but the album better come with the live shows. Wait and see if they got the tune's to meet the tour. But for sure they got a great tour poster for it. It's looking great

It is the 'Street Fighting Man' song for the 2010's and its come from the rolling stones themselves. No ones talking or singing bout it and there in there 60's. Lets hope some one dose before they fall off the stage

Christopher Owens is Back

His back from his break up with Girls. And his gone solo and singing about a break up. An album of a year in his life. Its got a bit of a dodgy flute on this track but other wise its pretty good.
