Chad Moore's 2012

Chad Moore has updated his blog, Ive mentioned him before. So I thought id mention him again. I think his brilliant. New York Based, he captures the city just the way you wanted it to look. Always got the sweetest girls in his pictures and always great light. If you havnt check him out yet, go on his website. And check out the newest blog entry of his 2012, featuring the likes of Alexa Chung, Ryan Mcginely. The Drowners. Not his best of work but still loads of fun, check it out

Wolfgang Tillmans bit of a bluff

Wolfgang Tillmans from germany is a acclaimed photographer having won the turner prize and exhibited everywhere. I checked him out at Morderna Museet in Stockholm with some friends on sunday. and his a bit of bluff. yeah his got some great pictures. my favorites posted here. but the rest are either shit, or just boring. he seems to take a picture of everything, his got no style and no direction. nothing wrong with taking a picture of everything, just dont show all of them. at the exhibition each visitor did get one of his books which is pretty nuts. but could chuck half the pictures out

Keep Your Eye On Errol

He is from bournemouth  and seems to be now in London. He takes great photos on film, and is really the only hip english photographer at the moment. His got that unique british style. Recently working with high street shops such as TopShop his making a name for him self. Also he is brilliant at directing a music video. Working tightly with the great band Splashh, directing all there videos to date. Check out his blog here which has some great pictures and check out his vimeo for some of his vids. David LaChapelle and suits

Was at the opening of David LaChapelles biggest exhibition at the fotografiska stockholm last night. His work is a intresting. I think his best work is from the 90's with photos of Eminem above ^, spice girls, Leonardo DiCaprio, Tu Pac, bowie ect. His new work is not really to my taste. Its got similar theme of celebrity but with larger group shots and crazy colours. His recent work with Rihanna and Lady Gaga are a bit boring and done before. Thankfully the exhibition had a mass of his work from, his photo of Andy Warhol to some more recent shots. There was also a room with his music videos, all okay. 

The actual opening party was just terrible. just suits. 'Cultured' people posing like prostitutes in front of his work for a great intsagram. Sharing make up advice, in the mens toilet. and never lending a cigarette. You worry a little bout stockholm when you see them.  And where are they in the day time.

Ryan Mcginely

After another brilliant exhibition in Japan i felt like i had to claim my love for him on here.  Ive mentioned him a few times before, but his just the best most exciting photographer of the 21st Cen. With similar themes such as Nan Goldin, Larry Clarke and other classic American photogrpahers. But i think ryan dose so well  is to develop. 

After years of taking pictures of friends in new york, 2002 he went on a road trip for 3 months with 5 girls 5 boys and captured amazing free photos. nearly every summer after that his done the same. the nudes are just incredible different and so new. The coulour he catches in nature are amazing. He has also worked with studio work which even then can be exciting. Working with animals and nudes.

You have to check out all his work its got no faults in it. Check the scene his in, working with the likes of Girls, Char Moore, Sigur Ros, The Virgins he is the hippest kid in new york. I cant wait to see his new work, waiting for another exhibition in London

Light Leak

Light Leak photos have become the colors of the time. The style and colors are being used in music videos of the Vaccines and anyone trying to get that feel. The original way to get light leak is by leaking light on to a un developed film (opening the back of a film camera) Heres one of my pictures with affect check some more on my flickr
